Find a sponsor. Know a member? Ask them to sponsor you. Don't know one yet? Stop by — we'll introduce you.
Submit your application. Complete a membership application with your sponsor and return it to the Lodge Secretary.
Meet the members. Come to a meet-and-greet so members can get to know you before the vote.
Be initiated. Take part in our initiation ceremony and officially become a Tampa Elk. Welcome aboard!
To join the Elks you must be a U.S. citizen, at least 21 years old, and believe in God. Questions about eligibility? The Lodge Secretary is happy to help.
U.S. Citizen — Must be a United States citizen
Age 21+ — Must be at least 21 years old
Believe in God — Demonstrate a belief in a Supreme Being
Good Character — Maintain a reputation of good moral character
Start your membership application online through the Florida State Elks Association. Fill out your information, and a Lodge 708 Secretary will follow up to connect you with a sponsor and guide you through the process.
